Weather warnings issued by the German Weather Service (Deutscher Wetterdienst, DWD) remain in place for Stuttgart and nearby areas, as winter conditions continue to pose potential risks. Although temperatures are expected to rise temporarily, the danger of icy roads and snowfall has not been ruled out.
According to the DWD, daytime temperatures may reach around +3 °C, which temporarily reduces the likelihood of persistent ice formation. However, meteorologists caution that hazardous conditions may still occur, particularly during the early morning and nighttime hours, especially on bridges, overpasses, and secondary roads.
Later in the day, rainfall and strong gusts of wind are forecast, with wind speeds reaching up to 75 km/h. Similar conditions are expected in neighboring districts, including Esslingen and Ludwigsburg.
Looking ahead to the weekend, forecasters warn that the weather situation could change again. Some models suggest the possibility of a significant snowfall, which could once again increase the risk of icy roads and disrupt traffic. For this reason, the DWD continues to monitor the situation closely and has not lifted the warning.
If heavy snowfall does not occur, meteorologists indicate that conditions may gradually improve by Sunday. Until then, residents and drivers are advised to remain cautious and follow official weather updates.
